Former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta said that J&K has witnessed sea change in the development aspect after the Modi government came to power in 2014 as earlier dispensations did nothing except making lame excuses to cover their inefficiency. The senior BJP leader was addressing a gathering in Channi Himmat’s ward no. 51 after inaugurating lanes and drains work at the estimated cost of Rs 38 lakh. Kavinder was accompanied by Chairman Public Health and Sanitation Committee JMC Rajkumar Tarkhan, BJP District President Vinay Kumar Gupta, Narinder Gupta Koki and Jagdish Raj Proch. Kavinder Gupta said that the people are testimony to the fact that the civic infra and other development projects including the big mega ones like AIIMS, IIT, IIM, etc have been taken up with lightning speed in the J&K and every week a new project is either launched or the ongoing one is completed under the Modi Government. “This extraordinary pace of development keeping in mind that smaller projects are as vital as the bigger ones has remained the plus point for the people because their aspirations at local level are being fulfilled along with colossal development projects with none interfering the progress of each other”, Kavinder said, adding that people have now understood the meaning of good governance and that is reason that BJP leadership is being welcomed at every nook and corner of the UT whereas leaders of other political parties have been forced to go in for hibernation after they have been exposed fully for doing things only for their petty personal interests keeping at bay the interests of the people.Locals including Master Kewal Gupta, Parshostam Gupta, Vinod Gupta, Gulshan Gupta, Arun Gupta, Jeewan Singh Charak, Vishawdeep Gupta, Lucky Gupta, Vimal Sharma, Daljeet Singh Charak, Dinesh Kumar, Kapil Gupta, Amit Gupta, Robin Singh Charak, Mirza Bhagat and Rakesh Kumar were also present during the inauguration. Meanwhile, Kavinder also started development work of lane and drain at Ward 45 Digiana with an estimated cost of Rs 40 lakh.
