    Srinagar, 10-Dec’; Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Forum held Oath ceremony of newly elected Provincial President. The instant Enrollment drive has proven to be a trailblazer but the aftermath must be contained lest the effect makes it unsustainable.Leaders spoke out in favour of enrollment drive on the occasion.They said that the Exigencies emerged out of this enrollment drive are to be addressed at an earliest with concentration on few of the demands and factors.While highlighting that Schools strictly need to have teachers (Staff) according to the need but at the same time there must be a minimum of one subject-expert for every school.They demanded that Zones with surplus staff must be made to share the additional staff with those Zones having dearth of same. If clubbed schools have gained some roll, they must immediately be declubbed, especially where there is a government owned building.They said that any school running in any rented building which has gained roll it must be forthwith provided a government owned building. Admitting Children at the age of +3 has become inevitable and thus directly emphasizes the requirement of school-mothers so that the children could be taken better care of and provided with an atmosphere just like that of the “home away from home”.They demanded that mega training exercise must be done during winters through SCERT/DIETs and State Resources group for ECCE. Some kind of material must be made available at KG level, a material keeping in view the aptitude of the beginners and certificate or citation for commendable job in enrollment drive needs to be developed in school education department as a culture of encouragement and appreciation. “Finally, need of the hour is to rejuvenate SCERT/DIETs TO make SCERT what it actually is established for and hence resulting in quality education and better schooling in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir”, they added.On the occasion, the newly elected Provincial President, Mr Muhammad Akbar Dar was Administered oath, secrecy and allegiance. Pertinently, the recently held Provincial President’s Election has reaffirmed the faith of organization in democracy and transparency whereby supremacy of the constitution of the organisation got salvation.A good number of leaders, executives, delegates and members attended the function.(CNS)
