Kupwara ,24-Mar; On World Mental Health Day, One day workshop on stress management was Observed by the District Mental Health Unit(DMHP) of district hospital HandwaraThe Programme was organized by district mental health unit of District hospital Handwara in the presence of Medical Superintendent Dr.Nisar Ahmad Wani who was also the chief guest of the event.The other Guests who were present include Dy.Medical Superintendent Dr.Aijaz Ahmad Bhat , Dr Mehraj u din, Dr Javid Iqbal,PG Drs, The whole team of Mental Health Unit including DPM Rashid Rasheed, Abdul Waheed and Nasir Ali,Khursheed Ahmad and Shabeena Akhter.K M Lone were also present.Students from different sections were part of this even along with NCD employees including Nissar Ahmad Shah & Peerzada Shabir.During the Programme, all the achievements and future plans were presented by Medical Superintendent Dr.Nisar Ahmad Wani. He further added that around thousands of Patients have been treated so far at the district hospital Handwara, including many counselling sessionsThe host of the Programme was Nissar Ahmad–Counsellor NCD DH Handwara.Speakers presented their view on Stress Management and how to deal with it effectively and efficiently.Dyp Medical Superintendent District Hospital Handwara Dr. Aijaz Ahmad and Dr Javid Iqbal ,Dr Mehrajudin also highlighted the need of mental health and said that young adulthood is the stage when serious mental illness can occur and there is a dire need of mental health awareness among the people. Dr. Javid Iqbal said that a person cannot be healthy unless he is mentally fit.Meanwhile, Locals thanked the hospital administration for organizing such events from time to time.(CNS)
