Jammu:State President of Hindustan Shiv Sena Vikrant Kapoor has called upon all the organizations fighting for the rights of Jammu to come on one platform and fight to achieve the goal of a Separate Jammu State. He also fully supported the struggle started by United Democratic Alliance (UDA), Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray and Sainik Samaj Party demanding a Separate Jammu state.State President of Hindustan Shiv Sena Vikrant Kapoor said this today while addressing a press conference in Jammu. He said that the erstwhile Kashmir-centric governments at the Center and the Kashmiri rulers have discriminated against the Jammu and Ladakh regions ever since the erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir was merged with India. Kapoor said that the people of Ladakh region have now got freedom from the discrimination of the Kashmiri rulers with the formation of UT of Ladakh, but the Jammu region is still a victim of this discrimination. He said that after the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A and the formation of UT of Jammu and Kashmir, there was hope for the people of Jammu that the discrimination being faced by them for decades would end now. But despite this, the people of Jammu have been disappointed with the decisions taken by the government since the formation of the UT. The main reason for this is that the policies of the present government are also Kashmir-centric. While some political parties are demanding restoration of the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir, some are demanding for early delimitation of constituencies in the State and holding of assembly elections.Kapoor said that despite this, the process of discrimination against the people of Jammu will not stop and the only way to end this discrimination is to give the Status of a separate State to Jammu. He said that this discrimination will not be accepted at any cost any more and now the people of Jammu are not interested to continue with Kashmir.Referring to the Civil Secretariat, he said that even before the formation of the UT, 80 percent of the employees in the Civil Secretariat were from the Kashmir Valley and the rest from Jammu and Ladakh. The situation has not changed even after the formation of UT and it is very difficult for the people of Jammu to get their work done by going to the Secretariat in the Kashmir Valley. Like the previous governments, he accused the present central government of being Kashmir-centric.Kapoor said that now the patience of the people of jammu have been broken and now they have no other option but to separate from Kashmir. Delimitation of assembly seats on the basis of 2011 census is also another political game with the people of Jammu. He said that the time has come for us to raise the voice of Separate Jammu State in solidarity for the security of our future, identity and culture.Senior leaders of Hindustan Shiv Sena Sunil Dabgotra, Rakesh Bhardwaj, Bawa Ram Kath, Abhishek, Himanshu, Amit, women’s wing leaders Sapna Kohli, joty devi, and others were also present in the press conference.
