Union Minister Shri Rajiv Shankar visits Charar Sharif Dargah

    Budgam, 24- Sep: A high-level team led by Union Minister Shri Rajiv Shankar, part of a special team formed by Center for UT Jammu and Kashmir, visited the historic shrine of Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Alam RAH in the famous town of Charar Sharif in Budgam district.During his visit he prayed for the peace and security of the country and laid the foundation stone for a few constructive works required for the betterment of the town.

    According to the correspondent, Union Minister Shri Rajiv Shankar Ji, was accompanied by BJP State Vice President Dr. Ali Muhammad, BJP Yuva Kendra District President Budgam Omar Jan, and other party leaders.Special security arrangements were made by the administration. While DC Budgam Mr. Shahbaz Mirza, SSP Budgam Tahir Saleem,SHO Chararsharif Yasir Rashid,SDM Chadoora Prince Noorul Hamid,Tehsildar Charasharif Nisar Ahmad Awaan and DDC Chairman Nazir Ahmad Khan besides senior government officials from various departments of Budgam district were present.The Minister inaugurated the new building of Sub-District Hospital Charar-e-Sharif and dedicated it to the general public. On the other hand, the foundation stone was laid for the construction of a hostel complex for Degree College Charar Sharif and inspected the macadimization of Batpora Charar Sharif Link Road, which is one kilometer away from chararsharif.He along with all the officers in the team further visited the tourist spot of Yusmarg and Ziarat-e-Aalia Pakharpora.(CNS)
