Kashmiri Pandits must be able to raise their voice in the Assembly: BJP’s Ashok Koul

Srinagar, 23-Mar;Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary (organisation) Ashok Koul on Wednesday said that since the formation of the BJP government at the Centre, hopes of a return to the Valley have intensified among the Kashmiri Pandit community.While speaking to Koul said that Kashmiri Pandit community has high hopes from the Modi government. Along with fulfilling the dream of returning to the valley, if they get representation in the valley, it will give strength to the community.Koul stressed that Centre should take action in this direction so that even the Kashmiri Pandits and other reserved categories would be able to raise their voice in the Assembly.He said that every single category has placed high hopes from the Modi government to become politically empowered in Jammu and Kashmir.On Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent visit to Jammu, koul said that was the first time that the CRPF celebrated its 83RD Raising Day outside the national capital.“This was Amit Shah’s second visit to Jammu in five months. Back then, he had addressed a rally in Jammu where he spoke about the attacks on minority community members, developmental works and other issues in Kashmir. As, Elections for UT are slated to be held in 2022, thus the BJP has shifted its attention to J&K”,Koul added.Replying to a Query on upcoming elections, Koul said that the BJP as a political party has succeeded in gaining the trust of the masses from all the regions and all the sects which is strengthening the party. He said that in coming times more leaders will join the party as the BJP as they know that only BJP is dedicatedly working for the committed welfare of common masses and peace & progress in Jammu & Kashmir. BJP leader urged the Bharatiya Janata Party workers to become a “bridge of faith” between the party and the people and said they must forge ties with the people based on the party’s guiding values of “service, resolve and sacrifice”. He asked them to reach the booth level workers and strengthen the party at ground level. He asked them to devote their dedicated time to their respective booths and allotted areas to gear up the party activitiesKoul announced plans to call for gatherings of workers on April 6,to mark the 42th foundation day of the party.(CNS)
