In fresh spurt in COVID-19 casualties, four persons succumbed to the virus in the Union Territory including three in Jammu region and one in Kashmir yesterday while 235 persons tested positive today as against 309 yesterday including chairperson Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) and a Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in the rank of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS).This is for the first time this year that three Corona casualties have been reported in a single day in the Jammu region. In another first, number of COVID patients admitted in the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu today rose to 20 by this evening as against 2-3 a fortnight ago. The number of patients is highest this year, GMC Medical Superintendent Dr Dara Singh said.
