59 domestic, industrial connections disconnected

JAMMU: Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has disconnected 59 domestic and industrial connections for non-payment of dues. As per official spokesman, on the directions of the Chief Engineer JPDCL Jammu, a team of the officials of Electric Sub Division-I JPDCL Gandhi Nagar under the supervision of Er PD Singh, Executive Engineer, Electric Division 2nd JPDCL Gandhi Nagar conducted disconnection drive of the electric connections today. The team disconnected 59 domestic and commercial connections for non-payment of dues. The areas where the disconnection drive was carried out were Gandhi Nagar, Shastri Nagar, Bagh-e-Bahu, Trikuta Nagar and their adjoining areas. Meanwhile, under the supervision of SE O&M, Circle-I, JPDCL Jammu, number of teams led by the concerned AEE in their area, conducted revenue realization drive and disconnected the power connections of defaulting consumers in Gumat, canal, Purani Mandi, Pacca Danga, Residency, Shalamar, Nagrota, Sidhra by pass etc. These defaulting consumers had not paid their electricity dues despite repeated requests by the department. The teams were led by AEE Elect Sub-Div-I, Ratneesh Puri; AEE Elect Sub-Div-II, Divya Jandial; AEE Elect Sub-Div-III, Harvinder Singh and AEE Elect Sub-Div-IV, Javed Ahmed.
