Awareness programme on oral healthcare held at GDC Batote

RAMBAN, MARCH 23: To improve access to oral healthcare and hygiene facilities for students, Government Degree College Batote collaborated with Government Hospital Batote to organise a free dental check-up and awareness drive under the banner of G20 presidency on college premises.The drive was led by Senior Dental Technician, Mashqoor Ahmed and his team, who shared valuable suggestions with students and stressed the importance of regular dental check-ups to avoid tooth extraction, scaling and timely treatment of cavities.The team also provided guidance on preventing early dental disorders, particularly for those aged between 19 and 22 years. College Principal Prof Nirlape Kour praised the initiative and thanked the team for their efforts. She encouraged them to continue with similar initiatives in the future and highlighted the need to educate students about the importance of oral hygiene for early prevention of dental diseases. The programme was coordinated by Dr Om Raj Katoch and Dr Sunil Kumar.
