Celebrating Cultural Diversity: 200 Students from Tribal Hostels and EMRSs Engage in Cultural Exchange Program

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 19: As part of the vibrant and culturally rich Janjatiya Gaurav Saptah, a significant cultural exchange program was organized for 200 enthusiastic students drawn from different tribal hostels and Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs) of J&K by Tribal Research Institute, Tribal Affairs Department.This initiative is a testament to the commitment of the Government to foster understanding and appreciation of diverse tribal cultures.It reflects the vision of Shri Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, who has been a guiding force in various tribal welfare initiatives.The program was arranged under the direction of Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Secretary of the Tribal Affairs Department.This day-long event, supported by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, included a series of enriching activities designed to provide students with a platform for cultural interaction and learning.The students had the opportunity to visit various significant places, engage in entertaining activities, and participate in interactive sessions that celebrated their unique cultural heritages.Dr Abdul Khabir, Deputy Director Tribal Affairs Department said that the cultural exchange program not only served as a conduit for cultural learning but also as a platform for building friendships and understanding among the youth from different tribal backgrounds. It is a step forward in our ongoing efforts to celebrate tribal culture and ensure their integral place in nation building.
