Kulgam , July 9: The District Development Commissioner, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat Kulgam on Friday inaugurated a playfield at Damhal Hanjipora which is a maiden playfield in the village and was a long demand from the youth of the area.
Besides DC Kulgam, ACD Kulgam Mohammad Imran Khan, ACR Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz, BDO Muzaffar Ahmad and other officials were present on this occasion The playfield has been inaugurated and developed by the Rural Development Department (RDD) with an estimated cost of 17.87 lacs.On this occasion Assistant Commissioner Development Mohammad Imran Khan while talking to CNS said, “There is a great focus on the development of playgrounds in every village for the physical and mental strength of the youth”.He added that efforts are being made that youth should be engaged in sports activities so that they will remain away from drugs and other unethical activities.Meanwhile the inauguration of the playground has filled the youth with joy as it is the maiden play ground in the area and they hailed the efforts of district administration Kulgam in this regard.
