DDC Chairman &DC Budgam distributes Motorized Scooters among specially abled persons Survey for remaining PWDs eligible for Motorized scooters to be completed within 20 days

Budgam, 17- Sep: Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha today inaugurated the distribution of motorized scooters among specially abled persons at Jammu. The program was attended through virtual mode by District Development Council Chairman, Nazir Ahmad Khan and Deputy Commissioner Budgam Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza.Later in the District, the DDC Chairman & DC Budgam distributed 23 numbers of Motorized scooters among persons with disability.Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the Government is going to saturate the distribution of prosthetic aid among PWDs this year and in this connection, District Social welfare Office & Rural Development Department being nodal agencies shall conduct a survey of remaining eligible PWDs Within next 20 days.The Nodal agencies shall be assisted by Anganwari workers and PRI functionaries in identification of eligible PWDs for motorized scooters and other prosthetic Aid.(CNS)
