Jammu, 05-May,: The Democratic Progressive Azad Party& General Secretary RS Chib expressed his disappointment over the delay in Assembly elections and said that depriving people of their elected representatives tantamounts to violating the democratic values.He said that violating democratic values doesn’t augur well to a country like India which has a rich history of democracy.However, Chib directed his party members to intensify the membership drive and by the time elections in Jammu and Kashmir are held, DPAP shall emerge as one of the largest political parties in the UT.“Our district presidents must visit extensively to their respective areas and intensify the drive of membership,” he said while chairing an office bearers meet in Jammu.Meanwhile, Chib sought the intervention of the government and adequate compensation to the farmers who lost their wheat crop in extensive rains.
