Anantnag,14-Dec Illegal encroachments as far as 60kms from headquarters were demolished during the demolition drive in Larnoo tehsil of Kokernag Subdivision in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district .On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, a joint team of Revenue and Police demolished around half a dozen illegal structures in Larnoo tehsil and also removed encroachment of State land as well as retrieval of same.The team led by SDM Kokernag comprised of Tehsildar Larnoo, NT Larnoo, Police and other revenue officials.As per an official, this is a continuous process and is more vigorously being carried out despite severe cold with sub-zero temperature.A stern message has been sent across to all violators that no illegal structure or activity shall be tolerated and strict action shall be taken against them no matter how far from headquarters they might be.More such drives have been planned to ensure that illegal constructions are deterred and people are advised to follow the proper procedure of applying for permission through proper channel, added the official.
