Srinagar, 30-Dec: A female tourist died and seven other passengers suffered injuries in a road accident in Qazigund area along Srinagar-Jammu highway on Friday afternoon.As per reports, a ‘Xylo’ (UP23HL 6527) on way from Jammu towards Srinagar through Jawahar tunnel rolled down into a deep gorge at Gutigund Verinag near Zig post, resulting in injuries to eight persons.The injured persons were evacuated to a hospital at Qazigund, where one Sheeba Iraqi wife of Atuqullah Iqrai of Lucknow Uttar was declared dead on arrival.Meanwhile, the seven others injured have been shifted to Qazigund and Verinag hospitals for specialized treatment.
