To cope up with the shortage of manpower in an elite police force-Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Police Headquarters (PHQ) have written to the Jammu and Kashmir Home Department for recruitment of eight hundred Sub Inspectors.These Sub Inspectors are to be appointed in JKP’s Armed and Executive wings.Further, the PHQ has set the recruitment process in motion for the appointment of twenty-seven hundred constables in Jammu and Kashmir Police Force.Official sources said that in order to raise four battalions viz two border battalions and two women battalions, the PHQ has appointed two different boards for recruitment which are to be headed by ADGP S.D Singh Jamwal and IGP Danesh Rana.They said that about twenty-seven youth ( both male and female) are to be recruited in these four battalions.They said that while IGP Danesh Rana is heading the recruitment boardof women battalion, ADGP SD Singh Jamwal will be the chairman of the recruitment board of the border battalion.They said that PHQ has also issued notification of Physical Endurance Test (PET) for recruitment of two border battalion, advertisement of which was issued under endorsement No- Pers-Rectt-A-105-2018/16207-50 dated 09.03.2019. Earlier, this recruitment was postponed in the month of March 2020 due to the outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic.The recruitment will be restarted for the candidates of district Jammu and Samba w.e.f 24.12.2020 at UTDRF Ground, adjacent to the Gulshan Ground, Jammu.The candidates have been advised to come with COVID free certificates
