District administration Udhampur today demolished illegal structures raised along the local Nallah in Garhi.Taking a serious note of encroachments, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Dr Piyush Singla directed Executive Engineer Jal Shakti and Irrigation department and Revenue Authorities to remove the illegal encroachments on the nallahas and water bodies.The Revenue Authorities and Irrigation Division of Jal Shakti Department Udhampur with the help of J&K police removed the illegal encroachment/ construction by dismantling the structures constructed over the said nallah.Meanwhile, District Administration Udhampur has asked the public to desist from encroachments failing which strict action will be initiated against the defaulters.
