Jammu, Mar 09, : Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (IAS), Director, Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) inaugurated a 10-Day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) under Mission Youth’s Tejaswani livelihood scheme. The training program was organized by JKEDI’s Centre for Women Entrepreneurship (CENWENT) and coincided with the ongoing celebrations of International Women’s Day.The EDP was attended by female candidates from across the Jammu district and they will undergo a training program with a focus on self-development, basic business skills, business and marketing plan formulation, account management, sector-specific technical inputs, and will be appraised of all the formalities involved in setting up an enterprise. The aim of the program is to help candidates to be self-reliant and facilitate capacity building.Director JKEDI congratulated the women present at the program and said that there is a lot to celebrate about women’s achievements. He added that there is much more to do in that direction and we need to embrace equality and build a better world for women.”I want each and every candidate present here to focus on innovation and adopt latest technology. One should undertake a thorough market survey before choosing an activity, so that the their business venture turns successful.
