In view of the emergence of new strain of Covid-19 ‘Omicron’, State Executive Committee (SEC) headed by the Chief Secretary Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday ordered to continue the deployment of School Education Department staff as additional staff for COVID -19 containment and mitigation efforts by concerned District Disaster Management Authorities. In an order issued by the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Jammu and Kashmir government, the concerned Deputy Commissioners Chairpersons DDMAs in consultation with respective Chief Education Officers of the district shall issue detailed specific orders under Disaster Management Act, 2005 for the deployment of School Education Department staff below the rank of Lecturer to perform COVID-19 containment and mitigation duties.
