The police on Saturday claimed to have busted a terrorist module with the arrest of three militant associates of The Resistance Front (TRF) — an offshoot of Lashker-e-Taiba (LeT) — along with arms and ammunition in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.In a statement to on January 28, the Ganderbal Police alongwith teams of 24 RR and 115 Bn. CRPF arrested three militant associates from Shuhama area and recovered arms and ammunition from them.The police spokesman identified the three militant associates as Faisal Manzoor, Azhar Yaqoob and Nasir Ahmad Dar. Two Chinese pistols, 3 pistol magazines, 15 rounds of ammunition, two hand grenades, and three mobile phones were recovered from their possession.During preliminary questioning, the trio revealed their affiliation with the LeT/TRF outfit and had indulged in various militancy-related activities in the district.In this regard, a case under relevant sections of CrPC has been registered in Ganderbal police station and an investigation has been intiated. More arrests and recoveries are expected in the case, the statement read.
