107 land passbooks distributed among farmers at DC Office Budgam

    Budgam, 02-Sep: The office of the Deputy Commissioner Budgam, today distributed 107 land passbooks among the legal land owners during an function held at Sheikh-ul-Alam Hall, Budgam.

    Speaking on the occasion, DC Budgam highlighted the importance of land passbooks as an initiative to strengthen the good governance system and public services delivery.He said that the district administration is committed to bring more vibrancy in the system and provide public service delivery to the public at their door steps.Terming the delivery of land passbooks as transformative   initiative, the DC said it will bring more transparency and ensure effective good governance in the district. He stressed on speedy completion of digitization of Jamabandis and other revenue records across all nine Tehsils of Budgam.Among others, ADC Budgam, Dr Nasir Ahmad, ACR Dr. Muzamil Maqbool, Tehsildars, NTs and other officers and officials were present on the occasion, besides scores of farmers also attended the function.Terming land passbooks as a great step, the farmers expressed their gratitude and lauded the district administration Budgam for delivery of land passbooks to the rightful land owners.Pertinently, Hon’ble, Lieutenant Governor J&K UT inaugurated the distribution function of land passbooks across J&K UT from Jammu.(CNS)
