MAugust 18: Police along with security forces have arrested one active terrorist of proscribed terror outfit LeT and recovered arms & ammunition from his possession.
Based on credible information, Bandipora Police along with 13RR and C-Coy IRP 8th Bn have arrested one active terrorist identified as Subzar Ahmad Rather @ Aatish Bhai resident of Awneera Shopian from Check Chandrageer area of Hajin, Bandipora.
Incriminating materials, arms & ammunition including 01 pistol, 01 Pistol Magazine, 04 Pistol rounds were recovered from his possession. He has recently joined proscribed terror outfit LeT and was tasked to carry out subversive activities in and around Hajin area.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Hajin and further investigation has been initiated.
