June 02: “`On 30/05/2021, Police Post Pakherpora received information that a motorcycle bearing registration no JK04D-3274 driven by one Muzaffar Ahmad Lone (25) was hit by an unknown vehicle near Futlipora Pakharpora and the driver of the vehicle fled away from spot along with the vehicle. The injured person succumbed to his injuries while on way to hospital.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR number 56/2012 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Charisharief and investigation was taken up.
During investigation, various suspects were summoned and questioned which subsequently led to some clues. After strenuous efforts investigation officers intercepted the involved accused and subsequently arrested from Shopian area within 72 hours.
He has been identified as Jehangir Ahmad Dar Son in Law of Ali Mohd Hajam resident of Gulshanabad Charisharief and the vehicle Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK03F-5883 involved in the commission of offence has also been seized.
Further investigation of the case is in progress.“`
