Kulgam,30-Nov: A day long awareness camp on Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME), was organized by Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Kulgam, here at Devsar in collaboration with Planning and Marketing department.A number of local farmers, Self help group members, prominent citizens, unemployed youth and PRIs representatives from different villages of Block Devsar and Pahloo attended the awareness camp.Chief Agriculture Officer (District Nodal Officer for PMFME), District Agriculture Officer, Area Marketing Officer, Agriculture Extension Officers, Horticulture Development Officer Devsar attended the meeting.ADDC Kulgam, Showkat Ahmad Rather was the chief guest. While addressing the participants the ADDC deliberate upon the benefits of the scheme and appealed to the youth to come forward and establish food processing units in the primary sector of economy so that we can generate employment on one hand and preserve the food on the other hand .
