Awantipora,09- Dec: IUST signed MoU with Javid Anim Managing Director Arco Cements and Star member of PHDCCI whereby Arco Cements Meritorious Student Awards for boys and girls have been instituted at IUST.Under this initiative, six students– three boys and three girls would be felicitated with Cash Awards on the basis of their Academic Merit in an attempt to encourage students towards excellence in academics, while at the same time strengthening Academia-Industry linkages.Speaking on the occasion Vice Chancellor IUST, Prof Shakil Ahmad Romshoo, said that the university is committed to strengthening industry-academia collaboration in line with NEP-2020 and has set up a dedicated Industry Connect Vertical under the aegis of Dean Outreach to reach out and bridge the gap between Academics and Industry. Industry practitioners are regularly invited to the Board of Studies meetings and other forums of the University to seek their counsel for developing/designing Industry suited syllabi/courses.Javid Anim, who is also a distinguished member of the IUST IQAC, Internal Quality Assurance Cell and Imran Latief Anim, Managing Director Dawar Cements and Executive Member FICCI, J&K also present on the occasion pledged to support and cooperation in future endeavors of the university towards creating a vibrant academia-industry partnership.The MoU signing was also attended by Dean Academic Affairs, Dean Research, Dean Outreach, Registrar, and Finance Officer of the university.
