Saleem YousufPattan, 06 Sep: Department of Health in Jammu and Kashmir has Miserably failed to Create a Single Post in Trauma Hospital Pattan despite Increase of Population in the Area and due to the acute Shortage of Staff , Patients as well as the Staff are badly Suffer. Local Sources told CNS that in view of increasing Population in the  Medical Block Pattan, huge rush of patients are visiting the hospital for different treatments but the Staff Posted in the hospital is same as it was before thirty years  due to which patents as well as Staff has to suffer.  “The lone trauma hospital in north Kashmir has been hanging in balance for more than  decade now and as there in unbalanced ratio of doctors & patients”, locals of the area said.  One of the medico said the emergency cases are not properly handled due to lack of manpower with the result attendants often shout at doctors and paramedics. The hospital was aimed at reducing the delay in treatment and augmenting the lack of trauma care in peripheries in north Kashmir. However the dearth of the staff here has not only severely hit the patient care but the available staff also remains overburdened which tells upon the smooth functioning of the hospital.  “Decades have passed, but the hospital is still not complete as there is acute shortage of staff, which speaks non-seriousness of the authorities concerned towards crucial life-saving assets,” patients added.  Meanwhile, Civil Society and Locals of Pattan town have urged  Lt Governor Manoj Sinha for the immediate address of their grievance   by fulfilling the New Posts in the hospital.”There is severe of deputation of More Doctors and Para Medical Staff Members so that Huge Rush of Patients Can be balanced accordingly”’.(CNS)
