Srinagar : 16th July 2020:
Srinagar Police in continuing its drive against social evils, Police Party of Police Station Parimpora under SHO PS Parimpora, got a lead and following the information, raided gambling site at Souzeth Band and apprehended 03 gamblers.
From the spot stake money of Rs 18770/=, 03 Mobile Phones and playing cards were recovered. After questioning, the arrested disclosed their names as :

Bashir Ahmad Sofi
S/o Gh Mohd Sofi
Both Residents of HMT Srinagar.

Mushtaq Ahmad Nath S/o Fayaz Ahmad R/o Parimpora
In this regard case FIR No. 140/20 under relevant sections of law has been registered in PS Parimpora and investigation taken up.
This is in continuation of the efforts of Srinagar Police to curb the social evils. General Public has applauded the timely Police action.
