Srinagar Police in its offensive against drug peddlers, Police Station Karan Nagar established a Naka at Dhood Ganga bund kakasarai Karanagar, Police party stopped one chassis Passanger Auto driven by one namely:
Umer Irshad Khan
S/o Irshad Ahmad
R/o Naid Kadal Srinagar, and during search a packet of Four Square cigarette was found in the Auto, in which a brown sugar like substance, 02 gms Packed in polythene Pouch, were recovered. Moreover from the possession of passenger namely:
Adil Ameen Kanth
S/o Mohammad Amin
R/o Zonimar Srinagar, a polythene bag containing Charas like substance, 40gms , were also recovered. The recovered illicit drugs/passanger Auto were seized on the spot and both the involved persons arrested.
In this regard Case FIR No. 61/2020 U/S 8/21, 22 NDPS Act registered in Police Station Karan Nagar and investigation has been taken up.
Locals of the area have hailed the Police action & are expecting that this type of action against drug menace shall continue in future also.
