Srinagar Police distributed Track Suits among Children of Abhinandan Home Solina Srinagar

Today on 03-12-2020, Srinagar Police observed World Disability Day at Abhinandan Home Solina, Srinagar.

On the occasion SSP Srinagar Dr. M. Haseeb Mughal-JKPS in a simple ceremony distributed 100 track suits among the differently abled children at the Deaf and Dumb School Solina Srinagar. As 3rd December is International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD). SSP Srinagar said that we must feel the importance of fostering an inclusive culture and responding to the urgent needs of people with disability in all aspects of society. Disability is part of the human experience. People with disability have been amongst the most vulnerable populations during the current COVID-19 outbreak due to many health, social and environmental barriers.

SSP Srinagar motivated the children to excell in their respective fields as indian para-olympian Deepa Malik, has made the nation proud. SSP Srinagar assured them that Srinagar Police stands with the differently abled children and will do our part in facilitating them to achieve their goals. Also promised the children a badminton court in their school so that they feel inspired and feel fit to take up the challenges of future.

The SSP Srinagar also complimented the teachers and the staff of the school for doing a commendable service in teaching the differently abled children, so they can make a place in their respective fields.

SSP Srinagar was flanked by SP South City Shri Sajad Shah-JKPS, ASP Hazratbal Shri Anayat Choudhary-IPS, SDPO Shaheedgunj Shri Shahjahan Choudhary-JKPS, SHO Shergarhi and other officers of the District.
