Srinagar Police organised an event at Abhinandan Home Solina for specially abled Children

Srinagar Police organised an event at Abhinandan Home (Modern English School) Solina for specially abled children. The Movie “Tara Zameen Par” based on Ishan, 08 year old dyslexic child was screed before students & teachers. Where students were shown how he overcomes his disability & excel in art ( his field of interest).

The movie was watched by around hundred students & their teachers. Pertinent to mention that on 03 December 2020, International Day of persons with disabilities was observed at this school and on the occasion SSP Srinagar Dr. M. Haseeb Mughal-JKPS had made a commitment to dedicate one badminton Court to students apart from screening an inspiring/motivational movie based on a specially abled child.

SSP Srinagar said that we must feel the importance of fostering an inclusive culture and responding to the urgent needs of people with disability in all aspects of society. Disability is part of the human experience. People with disability have been amongst the most vulnerable populations during the current COVID-19 outbreak due to many health, social and environmental barriers. SSP Srinagar motivated the children to excell in their respective fields as indian para-olympian Deepa Malik, has made the nation proud.

On the occasion, SSP Srinagar was represented by SDPO Shaheedgunj Shri Shahjahan Choudhary-JKPS and the event was attended by SHO Shergarhi and other officers of the District.
