Discussed scope, issues and demands for promotion of winter tourism in Ladakh
Leh, Jan 6, 2021: The Member Parliament Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal and Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC, Leh Advocate Tashi Gyalson met with Hon’ble Minister for Tourism and Culture GoI Sh. Prahlad Singh Patel at his residence office in Delhi and discussed various issues and demands of Ladakh for promotion of tourism including winter tourism in Ladakh.
MP JTN and CEC Gyalson apprised Minister Prahlad Singh Patel about the promotion of Winter Tourism in Ladakh by organizing 15 Days events of “Khelo India – Zanskar Winter Sports & Youth Festival 2021 and National Tourism Program by Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management through Gulmarg Center which will be organized in Kargil from 25th Jan, 2021 onwards. They also requested minister for early appointment of a Vice Chancellor for CIBS Deemed University.
MP JTN and CEC Gyalson also discussed much needed ambitious Ropeway project from South Pullu ( Gangles) to Khardong-la top (World Highest motorable road) with the minister. CEC Gyalson said that they will soon meet with Hon’ble LG Ladakh Sh R. K. Mathur and discuss the project and will work on a DPR for the Ropeway project for early execution.
Minister for Tourism and Culture GoI Sh. Prahlad Singh Patel assured to address all the issues and demands of Ladakh on priority.
