RAMNAGAR (UDHAMPUR), Mar 25: Hitting out hard on National Conference (NC) and Congress who ruled J&K for 70 years, Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh today said that these parties totally ignored the hilly and backward regions of J&K for vote bank politics during their rule.Talking to reporters here today on the sidelines of a Public Durbar, Dr Jitendra Singh said soon after Narendra Modi took over as Prime Minister in 2014, his Government paid total focus on far flung and backward regions of the country with J&K and North Eastern States being the top priority.Dr Jitendra Singh said had Congress sand NC Governments whose elected representatives from this region were even ministers at Centre and in the erstwhile State paid attention to this hilly region, the situation could have been better here.The Union Minister said Modi Government which stands by Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas is committed to develop the hitherto neglected areas of the country so that they do not lag behind the other developed areas.
