Srinagar,17-Mar; Under the aegis of Civic Action Programme, Awantipora Police on Friday organized a road race event in Aripal Tral in which a huge number of youth participated. The event was flagged off by SDPO Tral from Hindoora area. During the race, Aqib Manzoor won first, Danish Dilshad second and Baedar Fayaz secured third position. The award ceremony was held at Aripal which was attended by DSP DAR, Hilal Khaliq Butt, CO 42 RR and a large number of people. SDPO while interacting with the media said that everyone shouldtake part in sports activities as it helps to boost their Self Confidence, Concentration, Physical as well as Mental Health. He said that students/youth should make optimum use of sports and channelize their energy in the right direction through sports activities. He also stressed upon the youth/students to organize anti-drug campaigns in their respective areas to save the society from drug menace.
