Viraj Kala Kendra celebrates 28th Foundation Day

JAMMU: Viraj Kala Kendra, Jammu celebrated its 28th Foundation Day at Amar Singh Club auditorium here today. Raj Bharti, Chairman of Viraj Kala Kendra expressed that the Kendra has been established in 1992 with the efforts of herself and her husband Late Sh. Vidya Rattan Khajuria, an Eminent Sculpturist of the times. S.K. Sharma, IRS, Additional Commissioner of Income tax was the chief guest on the occasion who applauded the work done by the Club in the field of art and culture during the past few years especially in the lockdown period. Freedom Fighters Memorial Association felicitated S.K. Sharma for his contribution in the field of literature. They also felicitated Raj Bharti, Chairperson of Viraj Kala Kendra. A nukkad natak based on COVID-19 was presented by the members of Viraj Kala Kendra which was written and directed by Rajneesh Gupta. The artists who performed were seasoned Kaluta Tapasvi, Sapna Soni, Pawan Verma, Meera Tapasvi and new comers Anuj, Anmol and Ritik. A beautiful song was sung in the melodious voice of Arun Slan. Anchoring of the programme was done by Sapna Soni and Sunny Mujoo. On the occasion dignitaries from different field were present including Vijay Saraf, Hira Lal Abrol, Founder M.V. International school, Gourav Abrol, Ved Gandotra, Chairman, Freedom Fighters Memorial Association, Rajeev Mahajan, R.C. Puri Retd. KAS, Thakur Karnail Chand, Pritam Sharma, Parbhat Kapahi, Prof. S.S. Bhalwal, Prof. R.P Sharma, Janak Khajuria, Madan Rangila and Romi.
