Sheikh Shabir CNSTral CNS, July 6: Commemorating and celebrating 75 years of progressive India, the Department of youth services and sports Pulwama organised cycle race on 6th of July 2021 under the campaign “Aazadi ka Amrut Mahotsav”, at block Dadasara of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district in collaboration with Government Higher Secondary School Dadasara.Youth services and Sports in a statement issued to CNS said that the main aim of this cycle race was to engage the youth in sports related activities and instil the spirit of Nationalism among them.Block Development officer Dadasara Saqib Hussain who was the chief Guest on this occasion flagged off the cycle race comprising over 35 students.The cycle race started from the Government Higher Secondary School Dadasara to Chandrigam village and back to GHSS Dadsara near about 5kms.While speaking on the occasion chief Guest Saqib Hussain appreciated the students for their active participation in such an event.On that occasion, Shariq Shafi, Burhan, Ubaid (seniors group), while Imtiyaz Ah , Ifhaam Yaqoob, Hidiatullah (juniors group) were declared 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.Meanwhile, Chief Guest Saqib Hussain distributed the trophies to the winners and said that youth should be moulded towards sports activities, so that they can be prevented from drug related activities.Principal of the GHSS Dadasara Mohammad Aamin Bhat, SHO Awantipora G.M Rather Lecturer, physical education teacher Bashir Ahmad Mir, Mohammad Shafi lecturer HSS Dadasara and all officials of Zonal Physical Education Office (ZPEO) Awantipora were also present on this occasion.
