Anantnag , July 17: Anantnag police have arrested four drug peddlers in Anantnag and recovered contraband substances from their possession.In a statement issued to Anantnag mentioned that police party from Police Station Anantnag during naka checking at Larkipora Anantnag intercepted two persons namely Bashir Ahmed Mir @ Bashir Haji, son of Abdul Khaliq Mir resident of Sadoora and Zahoor Ahmed Shah S/O Abdul Majeed Shah resident of Keeri Dooru during their search about 400 Grams of Charas and 5 Grams of Heroin was recovered from their possession. The accused were arrested and contraband seized.The statement added that SHO Srigufwara apprehended two drug peddlers during Naka at Sakras crossing along with about 900 Grams of Charas. The accused identified as Mohd Ashraf Sofi S/O Mohd Ismail Sofi and Javid Ahmad Sofi S/O Abdul Gaffar Sofi both the residents of Guree Bijbehara were arrested and contraband seized.
