Army organises ‘Quomi Ekta Sabha’ in Doda

DODA: A “Quomi Ekta Sabha” was organised at Khankot by Indian Army.. The Quomi Ekta Sabha drew an enthusiastic response from all the communities of Khankot, Doda District. A total of 22 locals including 07 Hindus and 15 Muslims attended the event. Quomi Ekta Sabha was aimed at fostering communal harmony and brotherhood between locals irrespective of caste, religion and faith. Khankot having a mixed population of Hindus and Muslims is an example of unity in diversity. People of Khankot have successfully defeated the nefarious designs of separatist and anti social elements to destablise the peace & communal harmony in the area. During the meeting, participants were also informed about various hygiene and sanitation measures to be taken to avoid COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, attendees also shared their valuable views on promoting social and cultural harmony in the area and exhorted all to work in synergy towards greater goal of maintaining peace and tranquility in Khankot.
