District Administration Bandipora Observes Day-2 of Good Governance Week “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore”*Bandipora

*, December 20: As part of Day-2 of Good Governance Week “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore”, the District Administration Bandipora today continued its outreach, grievance redressal and awareness programmes across the district, reinforcing its commitment to transparent, responsive and people-centric governance.On the occasion, the Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Bandipora, along with the Assistant Commissioner Panchayat (ACP), visited Panchayat Halqa Asham-A and interacted with local residents. Public grievances were noted and the officers assured that all genuine issues would be addressed in a time-bound manner, while informing that desilting works in the area would be initiated shortly.In the educational institutions, the Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Altaf Hussain Tara, along with Nodal Officer Dr. G.M. Pujju (Dy CEO) and Zonal Education Officer Bandipora, Fayaz Ahmad Shah, organized Good Governance Week programmes across various educational institutions of Cluster HSS Aragam. These programmes witnessed participation from Village Education Committee members, parents, general public and staff, focusing on collaborative governance and stakeholder involvement. Similar celebrations were held at Government High School Gundjehangir (Zone Hajin), High School Chanpal Chattibandi, Government High School Banyari Sharki (Zone Hajin) along with affiliated cluster schools, Primary School Mir Mohalla CB Payeen, UPS GP Aragam, Middle School Bazipora (Zone Hajin) and Government High School Ajas (Zone Hajin). At GMS Aragam, students and parents jointly participated, reinforcing community-led governance.The Horticulture Department organized grievance redressal camps at Shilwat (Zone Sumbal) and Aloosa, including field-level interactions with farmers to address horticulture-related issues on the spot. Similarly, the Agriculture Department Bandipora conducted a grievance redressal camp at the Zonal Office Aloosa, providing farmers an opportunity to raise concerns and receive guidance regarding departmental schemes and services.The activities on Day-2 of “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” witnessed wide public participation and strengthened grassroots engagement, reflecting the district administration’s resolve to take governance closer to the people.Information & PR, J&K
