DC urges to inculcate good habits among studentsKUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 02: As part of ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Education Department in collaboration with District Administration today on second consecutive day carried out cleanliness activities across all educational institutions of the district. The Chief Education Officer, A.H Fani informed that the Swachhta activities were carried out in all the Government and private educational institutions including all the 53 Higher Secondary Schools, 102 High Schools, more than 700 Middle and Upper primary schools and dozens of primary schools besides colleges.Fani said that apart from students, teachers and non teaching staff also participated in the cleanliness drive. He further said that the drive will continue for a fortnight up to 15 September and gave directions to all Heads of Institutions to implement the directions in letter and spirit. The District Coordinator Cultural Education wing Kupwara, Rayees Masroor informed that the cleanliness drive witnessed large participation of students and teachers in all the 13 Education zones of the district including Tangdhar, Keran and Machil areas with full enthusiasm.Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray expressed his gratitude towards the teaching community and urged them to inculcate good habits including maintenance of cleanliness and hygiene among the students.
